Family Day in February
Family day long weekend is approaching. Make sure the cottage you find is winter friendly and is very accessible by local roads. If your not the owner and not familiar with the area during Canadian winter storms you will find it very difficult driving around. As a renter make sure you get familiar with the surroundings ahead of time before driving to your destination. Always have with you basic necessities in case they are not provided at the place of rental.
Renting for the holidays!
That holiday season is almost here and as always it’s the time to spend with family and friends. As always nothing is better than getting everyone together at the cottage and keeping warm around the fire place sharing stories. Always remember to ask all necessary questions to the owners making your stay more comfortable for the entire family. Always ask if the cottage is winterized? Whether to bring warm blankets or if they are provided. Just remember it will not hurt to go into details about all the little things that matter. Always pack more than necessary you just will never know if you’ll be snowed in for a few more days.
Time to cottage on Thanksgiving
Now that summer is over and the water is getting colder, it’s time to plan for the Thanksgiving long weekend. Fall in Canada is a great time to spend at the cottage. It could be chilly so remember when booking the right cottage. Water front might not be the most necessity but having heating by that time is a must. Always make sure if linens are provided including blankets and/or comforters. Canadian nights will get cold by the time October arrives so be prepared and stay warm.
